What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle yet profound, non-invasive, touch-based treatment for the whole body.

The treatment focuses on the entire nervous system and allows the client to connect with the inherent ability in the body to balance, revitalize and heal.

The treatment is performed on a massage table, the client is fully clothed, and the touch is gentle and calm.

After a session, you may feel calm and energized, with more clarity of mind and a sense of well-being.

During a Session

We will begin with a brief history and take time to share about your current physical and emotional state. Then we will take a moment to guide your system into a more relaxed and present state.

The session continues on the massage table and lasts between 60 and 75 minutes total. During this time, I gently and quietly hold specific areas of your body, listening for subtle rhythms and tracking changes in your system.

During the session, you may:

relax so deeply that you fall asleep

enter a meditation-like state

feel like you are dreaming while you are awake

experience memories or insights

experience a pleasant feeling of warmth, relaxation, expansion or floating

You will experience a profound change. While a single session can have noticeable effects, it often takes multiple sessions to achieve lasting results. As with most things in life, consistency over time produces the most noticeable results.

Because Craniosacral Therapy is gentle and non-invasive, it is suitable for people of all ages. It can be effective in both acute and chronic cases and is useful for addressing past trauma and injury. Craniosacral Therapy is excellent as a preventative therapy, as it helps resolve imbalances in a client's system that they may not be aware of. This type of therapy complements other treatment modalities such as physical therapy, chiropractic procedures, acupuncture, post-surgical rehabilitation and dental care. It is also an excellent support for psychological treatment to integrate processes on a physical level.

Costs and Supplementary Insurance

My billing rate for working with health insurance companies is CHF 11 for every 5 minutes of work.

This means that my hourly rate is CHF 132. The initial session typically lasts around 80 minutes as we conduct a comprehensive intake interview. As a result, the cost of the first session is CHF 176.

I am recognized by the health insurance companies listed in the EMR (Erfahrungs Medizinisches Register) and also by Visana.

Supplemental insurance for complementary medicine is required for partial reimbursement of fees.

I recommend that you contact your health insurance company to see if your supplementary insurance will cover part of the costs.

Sessions that have been arranged but are not attended must be cancelled the day before (24 hours) by telephone 077 20 37 200.

Or by e-mail

Unless other arrangements are made, uncancelled sessions will be charged in full.

Exception: emergency/illness.
